December News & Updates

Our second "Pancake with Santa" went off without a hitch and seemed to be a big hit with the crowd. A big thanks to all of those volunteers that came out to help us generate funds for the ongoing fight. A special thanks to Kelli Pocino who organized the morning & to Mr. and Mrs. Claus for a great job! Check out the photo on our Events Page.

Our first Civic committee meeting is being held on Jan. 5th at the Winchester Arms at 7:15pm , anyone interested in helping us find and promote good citizens to run in the Oct. of 2010 election should come to the meeting. A monthly campaign of information and education about issues and ideas for the coming election will be promoted through flyers starting in January.

Jan. 13th is the continuation of the Lakewood OMB hearing and of course our OMB appeal to the communal system. All are welcome to attend this hearing at the township hall at 11 am. This hearing is scheduled for 3 days. Send us some good thoughts if you can't come out and hear for yourselves the outcome of the appeals.

Our Vision Statement:

Doing this we retain and maintain the rural integrity and character that is essential to this community.

Our organization is made up of full time and seasonal residents from Wainfleet Ontario.

As communicating isn't always easy, we'll try to include photos and images that convey our message ( a well-chosen picture is a great way to get a point across). We'll also include specific information about our organization and its members, so no one forgets the people behind the pictures.
